What Our General Pest Control Covers

Last updated: October 2026

General Pest Control covers the inspection and treatment tasks listed in your written estimate or service agreement. Depending on the approved scope, work may address common household pests and the accessible areas where activity is found. It does not automatically include wildlife removal, structural repairs, sanitation, exclusion work, or specialized services such as termite or bed bug treatment; those require a separate agreement.

We follow the Vermont Pesticide Control Act, 6 V.S.A. Chapter 87, applicable Vermont commercial applicator certification rules, and EPA pesticide label directions under FIFRA.

Restricted-use pesticides may be used only by appropriately certified applicators under 40 CFR Part 171. We handle pesticide and container disposal according to applicable Vermont hazardous-waste rules, product labels, and state requirements, including guidance from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets.

Applicable guidance may also come from the EPA, Vermont Department of Health, OSHA, and USDA. Your estimate identifies the work approved for your property.

Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit

We schedule appointments with you by phone, email, or another agreed method and confirm the expected service window and work to be done. Please provide accurate access instructions and tell us about pets, occupants, property conditions, or other concerns that could affect the visit.

If you need to cancel or change an appointment, contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can discuss another time. Any cancellation fee or notice requirement will apply only if it was disclosed and agreed to in your service documents.

If the technician finds that requested work differs from the approved scope, we will explain the proposed change and any effect on timing or cost. We will not treat additional work as approved merely because it is recommended.

You must authorize a material scope change before we proceed, except where immediate action is required by law or needed to address an urgent safety concern. Access delays or unsafe conditions may require rescheduling.

How Estimates and Charges Are Handled

We provide an estimate or written service agreement describing the proposed General Pest Control work and its charge before the work begins. The amount may depend on the property, reported pest activity, access, and the tasks requested. An estimate is based on the information available at the time; if inspection reveals conditions that materially change the work needed, we will explain the difference and seek your approval before adding services or charges.

Payment is due as stated in the estimate, invoice, or service agreement. Please review those documents for accepted payment methods and any payment timing that applies to your job.

If no due date is stated, ask us before work begins. You are responsible for charges for work you approved and that we performed, subject to applicable law.

A recommendation, optional treatment, or change in scope does not authorize extra work by itself. We will document approved changes so you can understand what was added and why.

What to Expect About Service Coverage

Any service warranty, retreatment commitment, or other workmanship coverage applies only if it is stated in your written estimate or service agreement. That document controls the covered pest, property areas, duration, conditions, and steps for requesting follow-up. These terms do not create a fixed warranty period or promise that pests will never return; pest activity can be affected by conditions outside the work performed.

Coverage may depend on your following preparation and aftercare instructions, providing access for agreed follow-up, and reporting a concern within any stated period. Changes to the treated area, unapproved repairs or treatments by others, or conditions that prevent the agreed work may affect coverage where the written terms allow.

We will explain any applicable limit before service. If your paperwork does not describe a warranty or retreatment commitment, contact us to clarify what follow-up, if any, is included before relying on coverage.

Responsibility for Property and Service Risks

To the extent permitted by law, Vermont Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim arising from a service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be waived.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, pest activity outside the agreed treatment area, or effects caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing here removes your responsibility to follow preparation and safety instructions or to disclose relevant property conditions.

Our work remains subject to applicable law and product directions, including the Vermont Pesticide Control Act, 6 V.S.A. Chapter 87, commercial applicator certification requirements, FIFRA label directions, and EPA certification rules for restricted-use pesticides under 40 CFR Part 171.

These terms do not excuse noncompliance with pesticide handling or disposal rules. Any pesticide or container disposal must follow applicable Vermont hazardous-waste requirements and label and state instructions. Legal rights that cannot be limited remain unchanged.

Questions About These Service Terms

For questions about these terms or a service agreement, contact Vermont Pest Solutions at (877) 729-2528 or info@vermontpestsolutions.top. You may also write to 100 Bank St, Burlington, VT.

Please include your name, service address, and any estimate or invoice number so we can identify the matter. These terms apply alongside the written documents for your service; if a specific service document conflicts with these general terms, contact us for clarification before work proceeds.

We may update these terms from time to time. For a booked service, we will communicate a material change through an appropriate method, such as email or a revised written agreement, and identify when it takes effect.

Changes will not retroactively alter completed work or charges already agreed to. If you have questions about an update, reach out before scheduling or approving additional work. Applicable consumer protections and legal requirements continue to apply.
